Obverse : Twelve stars surround the Vytis, LIETUVA and mint mark below, (date) above right all in a circle.
Reverse : 5 on the left-hand side follow by EURO CENT in two lines; six straight lines run vertically between the lower and upper right-hand side with a star at both ends of the line, and with the globe with European continent in the middle; the initials ‘LL’ of the engraver appear near the right-hand edge of the coin.
Note: Lithuanian euro coins are not currently in circulation since Lithuania does not yet use the euro as its currency. It originally planned to adopt the euro on 1 January 2007; but now it has officially changed its target date to 1 January 2013.
